YM Activity

Patrick is back serving in the Young Men and we got a chance to help them with one of their activities. They did a "Where's Waldo" sort of thing. We dressed up and placed ourselves throughout a mall and the youth had to come  find us. Patrick asked if I would help and we decided it would be a good "dad date" with Cache.

Patrick really wanted to dress up as a tourist but wanted a big mustache too. Luckily in China Town we found a whole package of fake mustaches! They are nice and fuzzy and came in all sorts of styles. Cache is sporting the 'private detective'. He said he looked like Mario so he had to do a "Mario Pose" with his hand in a fist... "Because Mario punches all those blocks."

He was really excited and he and Patrick planted themselves down by one of those cheapy kid rides. I was up in a cafe with reading glasses and my iPad (and they didn't find me!) Apparently while they were sitting around Cache kept asking, "Is this it?"   Yup. It is.

He had his backpack with his ipod and some sweets and a Singapore flag. His own tourist style. It was a fun thing to do with the youth but an especially fun thing for Cache to spend some time with just his dad. He doesn't get enough of it.

We finished up the night with a new pair of shoes and some ice cream. My favorite part was his cute little face with a big fluffy mustache. So priceless.
