Gma Visits: Singapore River Cruise

Aaaah, Singapore at night. One of my new favorite things. You can see the Singapore flyer out there in the distant under the curve of the Art Museum.

Gma and I were waiting for Patrick to get off work so we could take a boat cruise through the harbor. And what did we find at the Art Museum? Nothing but the Harry Potter Exhibit! Of course it was wildy over priced and kind of small considering, but we couldn't help ourselves. Technically I wasn't supposed to take pictures inside, and I didn't ; )
Here is the Helix Bridge all lit up. (Im not 100% sure that's what its official name is. It's just what we call it!)
Here we are on the cruise and seeing the sights. Marina Bay Sands. The casino and hotel. It looks like a cruise ship on stilts to me. On the top is an infinity bridge that looks out over the city. We haven't been up there yet. It might not be my favorite place considering my slight fear of heights, but I would like to try it as some point. As everything else in this town, you have to pay the price to get in. To the left in this photo is the full Art Museum. Its a chopped up, sliced round building. It reminds Patrick of an apple being cored.

Here we are down in the financial district. There are so many buildings and they all kind of look the same, but I did like this shot.
Here we are cruising it up. Gma was sitting next to a gentleman (loosely used term here) that was taking pictures with his camera right over her head. If she moved even an inch he would fill up the space she vacated. He was trying to get a picture of every inch of skyline and was not afraid to push her aside. He was so oblivious to her and her discomfort that we couldn't stop laughing about it.

Here is one of the Quays. Back in the day this used to be the place for the opium addicts, prostitutes and gamblers to hang out. Now its a beautiful outdoor area with plenty of restaurants.

Here is our River Cruise place. I just liked how this photo came together.
Gma and I at the Harry Potter exhibit (photo did not end up where I wanted!) So many people kept asking if she was my sister. For some reason Gma kept laughing at that, but I think she looks great! And with her new curly hair-do too! We do look so much alike. I'm glad to be my mother's daughter!!
