Sessions Family Reunion
Sunday we had the Annual Sessions Reunion which consisted of my dad's siblings, their children and grandchildren. We had a pretty good turnout considering there are so many of us in the world. We had great food of course:
We had quasi-crafts. Actually this is a quilt we made in 1997 for Grandma and Grandpa Sessions. After they passed my mom brought it to live in our house. We all made squares with our name on them. Cache just wanted to stand on it apparently.
And of course we had fun crafts and games for the kids. Here is Cache in his balloon hat that was crafted by David. He is really talented in balloon tying. Who would have thunk it? He says its just obvious if you think about it. We were all amazed and glad that he was able to think about it and provide hours of entertainment for the kids.
Here is the mini-golf course that Kathy and John built for a reason I have yet to find out. The kids really loved it. It was like flies on bread (as you can see). Cache played there for a good hour and cried when I made him come down to eat.
It was a fun night to reminisce, although now that the families are getting big, we are not so good on mingling with our cousins. Most of us kept within our family "circle". It was odd to see my cousins grown up and caring for their own children. Last time I saw a lot of them we were still young and making mischief. (I have been a poor attender of the annual reunion). I loved seeing pictures of my grandparents and all of us when we were little. What a legacy they have left behind. Hopefully we can live up to their great name. Thank you Elwin and Betty!
