Life as we Know it

Things have been difficult this week. All 4 boys have been sick with a little thing called HFMD. Thats right, Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. A sickness that isn't so bad to have but sounds like you have been sucking on dirty cow hooves. It comes with a fever for a day or so and then come on the spots. Lots of spots. On your hands, face, feet and buttocks. Which of course makes the kids laugh when you say it. Kai came down with it first. Then Cache, Ronin and baby Levi. We have been quarantined for almost two weeks and it is killing us. Its truly so hard to be cooped up in an apartment with these boys. You really can't go out because HFMD is a rampant disease and people avoid you like the plague. It can shut down schools, churches and any other frequented places. So we are doing our time and waiting until the doctor clears them to go back to school.

In the mean time here are a few pictures of what we were doing before we got sick. Noni and Grandpa L. came to visit and we had a lovely time. Noni is still with us and we secretly hope she will get sick so she can stay with us longer. That seems a bit backward, but we are dreading the day she leaves (which is fast approaching). It is so lovely having family here to visit. It makes us feel whole!!

Twice a week I pick Ronin up from school and we head to the mall which is around the corner for some private time together before heading home to chaos. He was desperate for this car he got to drive even though he was way too big for it and it was way too pricey. We have been doing a lot of swimming too, or at least we were before this week. The weather has been absolutely lovely. We haven't had the AC's on for awhile. We are starting to feel Singaporian! We have a nice breeze that flows through the front room. It rains a bit every day so that keeps it cool too. And of course you really can't get too hot if you never go outside! We are getting a doctors note this weekend so next week we can get back to our regular schedule. No more sleeping in til 8 or staying in our jammies all day. Next week is work, bus schedules, home work and school. Oh, the grind of regular life! It's good we have a pool to help us relax a bit after such business.
