Labor Day

We have spent more time at Flushing Meadow Park in the last month than our entire 5 years here. It is such a lovely place. The largest park in Queens (right?) with sailboats, biking trails, and actual grass! It was a lovely Labor Day as a family.
My three crazy boys. Oh, how they love ice cream. Aren't they the sweetest, macho-est bunch you've every seen? Such a good mix of fun and love packed into each one.
Mmmmm. I want some ice cream.
Ronin was rocking it on the bat. He thought this picture was pretty cool and decided to recreate the leg kick action for the next few shots. This was the first and best of them all. Completely unplanned. And boy, does that kid love stripes.
Cache found his pockets on this actual day. He can't give them up. It's been a life of cute pictures ever since. As if he is ever not cute.

I'm go grateful to Congress who made this a federal holiday back in 1894. Guess they really needed a day off then too! We had such a good time enjoying the last bits of summer. It was perfect weather and it was such a joy to be together. We topped off the night with a BBQ with our wonderful friends. It was a perfect day.
