
I looked out the window of the bathroom the other day to find this lovely lady waltzing by. My neighbor said there wasn't much room here for deer to roam, but I guess this one didn't get the memo.

Also within minutes I saw this trail of birds picking their way through the woods. I really didn't know what kind of bird it was, but did have a hunch...

The neighbor confirmed my suspicion that we have a group of wild turkeys that roam the area. This would explain all the noises I hear at night, in the dark. Those turkeys aren't too scary now that I know they are here, although I still wouldn't want to meet one in a dark alley without sharpening my ninja skills. Boy are these guys different than the locals in Queens.
