Happy Easter 2009

This entire weekend has been full of great things. Patrick took half of friday off. We had a great church activity on saturday and Sunday was full of learning and the spirit. What a blessed day it has been. We feel so grateful that the Savior was willing to live and die so that we could all be here together on this earth. What a testimony we have of his divinity and mercy. We have a stronger desire to do more while we are here to live closer to his teachings. We feel so blessed.

Today after church we enjoyed a day as a family. We had originally invited our neighbors for lunch but all said no. So we gathered together and did some Easter activities. The kids were excited to find their baskets that I had to re-hide because they were hidden too easy the first time:
Ronin is so excited, but Cache really has no idea what we were doing. They wanted to find baskets right as they walked in the door from church.
Once they were found we had a great time going through their new spring toys. Buckets and shovels from the $1 bin. And only a few bits of candy since they have been stuffed full of it all weekend.
Cache and I. What a sweet little man he is.
The boys were more than willing to let us take their pictures. Thank goodness it was actually sunny today. Of course it was still freezing despite the sun. But beautiful nonetheless.
These boys are completely crazy. And this was BEFORE the sugar kicked in.
Our family picture. We feel so much love for each other and this journey we are on together. I can't think of anyone else I would rather go through life with than these three boys. We thank God for the abundant blessings he has continued to shower upon us. We pray we will be worthy of these blessings and live as he wants us to. And today more than ever we know that our Redeemer Lives and loves each one of us as we journey on this world together. May you be blessed this Easter time with the spirit of love the Savior has to give. May you feel his presence more fully in your lives and may you find the strength from him to carry on each day.

What a great family shot. I also felt very overwhelmed by the Spirit and the love of our Savior. We only wish we could have capped off this day with a dinner in the country followed by me rooting around the boys Easter baskets for the small amount of candy they received.
Instead, we are having dinner with the cakes/goodies we bid and won last night at the cake auction.
Happy Easter!
