Ouch!
There's a bedtime rule in our house: You get out of bed, you get your door shut. It's a simple rule and has been rather effective, up until now.
Again tonight (as he does every night) Cache had to have his door shut. This is usually followed by some crying and eventually a settled kid. But tonight the crying was a lot louder and well, more frantic than any other night. That is because he fell, (or something) on his way to the door. We are really unsure of what actually did happen, but we do know he cut his face.
Patrick and I had to dig to find the first aid kit. Which is funny because we actually have 2 plus whatever is in our 72hr. kits. But since moving in we have yet to find a "place" for these important items. So we had to hunt, while Cache lay on the counter waiting for surgery. The good thing about all this is we now know where our 72 hr. kits are and they have been rotated. Thank you Dad! I can sleep better tonight knowing all our goods are at hand.
Of course Cache will sleep pretty good to. He's dosed up on tylenol, and he's had a good crying jag so he should be plain tuckered out! After cleaning him up we did apologize profusely to him. Maybe the "shutting of the door" is a bit too dangerous considering all the crazy toys laying about. Of course maybe we just need to clean his room better each day. Yes, that probably wouldn't hurt either.
